Hoarfrost

Here's a verse to ponder:

Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day,

or like vinegar poured on soda,
is one who sings songs to a heavy heart.
Proverbs 25:20

Hoarfrost

Radiation frost (also called hoar frost or hoarfrost) refers to the white ice crystals, loosely deposited on the ground or exposed objects, that form on cold clear nights when heat losses into the open skies cause objects to become colder than the surrounding air. --from Wikipedia

Frozen fog

Tuesday morning it was foggy, and temperatures were well below freezing, creating a winter wonderland of frost. Within a few hours, breezes crumbled these delicate crystals; they fell to earth and were gone.

Hackberry tree, blue sky 3

Hackberry trees are hardwoods with soft wood. They grow assertively and somewhat haphazardly, almost like a big weed. They can thrive in difficult places. Their only value is simply to be a tree, and that's enough.

Perhaps, given my weaknesses and flaws, it's enough that I'm me, and that I try to grow where I'm planted.
