Spring redbuds

Here at 40.29 north latitude, we experience the wonders of spring every year. Those close to the equator are denied this privilege, though they are spared the chill of winter. All this is because the earth is tilted as it spins on its orbit about the sun. The tilt varies from 22.1 degrees to 24.5, with a 41,000-year period between the two extremes. Yes, the earth is wobbling.

So, thanks to wobbles and tilts and spins and revolutions and being a perfect 92,955,820.5 miles from the 11,000 degree surface of the sun, we have these beautiful redbuds. Don't take spring for granted!
