Snow, alpine vegetation

Late September in the Rockies brings a collision of seasons: fall gets invaded by a persistently summerlike sun at one moment, by the blustery snows of winter the next. These snow patches, being threatened by the sun, are next to the shores of Lily Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
