Wood grains 2

Here the dark and light come both from innate qualities in the wood, and by the pattern of sun and shadow.

Likewise, the dark and light in my life comes both from what's within me, and from the circumstances of the world around me. This side of heaven, life will always include both, but I can live with confidence, knowing that just as our universe began with light, so shall it end with the triumph of light.
