Snow on Tall Grass Prairie 2

The grass here is Big Bluestem, the tall perennial that once covered the great plains. I remember reading pioneer stories in which small children wandered from their homes and got lost in the tall grasses, which reach up to six feet. The photo helps us imagine how that could happen.
