Dead Branches 2
At our home in Nebraska, we had a tree similar to this one with large dead branches. A large owl frequently perched on the dead limbs, and we enjoyed its presence. But then we had a tree trimmer cut down the unsightly limbs, and our owl disappeared. The tree looks better, but we took away the owl's habitat, and we lost a friend.
Perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to try to get rid of our supposed imperfections. They may be the very thing that helps us connect to others. Who enjoys being around "perfect" people?
See Sabbatical Crosses (and others). Order prints, etc.
